Inception

The Inception of this blog is inspired by the movie "The Inception". This movie exploits the idea of "dream" to build a whole movie. There are dreams within dreams within dreams and so on. These are called dream levels -- level 1, 2, 3 and so on. In the movie, there is a machine that can be used to enter somebody else's dreams.

There are multiple technical faults if one tries to analyze the dream-based movie in a scientific manner. For example, on the one hand, they say the rules of physics do not apply in the dreams, and on the other hand, the above-mentioned machine works (and seemingly is needed) in the dreams. Moreover, there are rules to separate dreams from reality. This is called a totem. For example, a spinning top "totem" would keep spinning in the dreams. But this is a fallacy since dreams are not constrained and therefore a top cannot be constrained to keep spinning.

Despite the faults, the movie is an inspiration to consider dreams with an amount of seriousness. The above-mentioned machine, if possible to manufacture, would be useful in the way the movie depicted -- to incept an idea into somebody else's mind by venturing into his or her dream.

Anyway, on this blog I plan to post my dreams with a view of creative writing (my dreams are more creative than me) and taking an iota of serious thought for the dreams.
